In 2021 we were having a party to celebrate the end of hybrid school. Our kids wanted Oreos but couldn't agree on which kind to get. We decided to 'buy all the Oreos' and get one of every kind in the store. A tradition was born.

There will be a dunk contest on a 6-foot hoop, and a local high school band, and every type of Oreo we can find, even the gluten free ones. They have S'moreos now. Those look good. We just got some kind of Chinese cheese Oreos that look interesting. There is a Nutella Oreo that is great with coffee. There are lemon Oreos that are great with tea. Last year one kid took the filling from about 30 different Oreos and scraped it into a single megacookie and ate that. No kids have barfed at this event so far but that is not a challenge. If you've read this far and are still wondering what the address is, ours is in Mount Tabor but yours is wherever you want it to be. You just tell your friends you're having an end-of-school Oreo Party and to bring a pack. It's the easiest potluck ever. It costs less than a nice dinner to buy every type of Oreo in the store and enthusiasm for the end of school is abundant and free.
